PVM Announces Partnership with Skillbridge to Unlock Data for Good

PVM, an 8(A) digital services company that partners with public sector teams to unleash the power of their data and help them maximize their investments in data systems, today announced a partnership with the Department of Defense’s (DOD) Skillbridge program. Together, the two organizations are working together to connect transitioning service members with real world experience at PVM.

The DOD’s Skillbridge program provides an opportunity for service members to seamlessly bridge the gap between their military service and civilian careers. As a company deeply committed to empowering veterans and aligning their expertise with the missions of government clients, PVM is proud to establish this partnership and use Skillbridge as our main hiring source.

"As a veteran myself, I am acutely aware of the challenges our service members face when transitioning to civilian life. Skillbridge presents a remarkable opportunity for them to harness their potential and continue serving the nation in a meaningful capacity," CEO and retired Naval Officer Pat Mack said. "Our goal at PVM is to create an environment where their skills are not only valued but also amplified, and this partnership is a testament to that commitment."

The core of the partnership lies in PVM’s commitment to helping public sector teams achieve their missions with technology. By leveraging the experience and discipline ingrained in military service, transitioning veterans can seamlessly integrate into PVM’s mission to unlock the power of data for good.

The DOD Skillbridge program enables service members to gain up to 180 days of permissive duty, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in civilian training and work experiences. Under the guidance of the PVM team, Skillbridge participants will have the chance to hone their skills—from technical engineering to business or operations—and apply them to real-world projects that have a tangible impact.
